Three Story Pagoda
Konan is renowned for its trio of ancient Tendai temples—Jōraku-ji, Chōjū-ji, and Zensuiji—collectively known as the "Konan Sanzan," which become especially picturesque during the autumn foliage season. Jōraku-ji, established in the early 8th century, features a National Treasure main hall and a three-story pagoda, both dating back to the 14th century. Chōjū-ji, founded in the mid-8th century, houses a National Treasure main hall and is affectionately referred to as "Higashi-dera" (East Temple). Zensuiji, established in 606, boasts a National Treasure main hall and is famed for its healing waters and serene gardens.
