Ono Shrine, also known as Komasaka Myojin, is the main shrine of Konsho-so and the guardian deity of Konsho-ji Temple. Its two-storied gate, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, is believed to have been built in the early Kamakura period and is the oldest remaining two-storied gate in Shiga Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to gods of learning, agriculture, and weather, and is also the tutelary shrine of the nearby JRA Ritto Training Center. It's particularly famous among fans of the pop group Arashi, who visit to pray for concert tickets. Open daily (except New Year's and festival days) with reception hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM in summer and until 4:30 PM in winter. Accessible by bus from Kusatsu or Ritto Station.
