Mount Kinshō, also known as Kinshō Alps, is a mountain offering diverse hiking trails for both beginners and experienced climbers. Located in Ritto, Shiga Prefecture, it features unique granite rock formations like Tenguiwa and Mimi-iwa, as well as historical sites such as the Komatsu Magaibutsu and the ruins of Komatsuji Temple. Enjoy panoramic views of Lake Biwa, the Hira Mountains, and the JRA Ritto Training Center. Access is available via bus from Tehara Station or car to the Matō Kannon-dō parking area, with trails leading to the summit of Mount Ryūō. Best visited during the pleasant months of April-June and September-November.
