Volcanic Mountains

The Kuju Mountain Range, part of Aso-Kuju National Park, is home to Kyushu's highest peaks and a network of hiking trails offering stunning views of volcanic terrain. Popular trailheads at Makinoto Pass and the Chojabaru Visitor Center provide access to peaks like Nakadake and Kuju, with fall colors from late October to mid-November and snow from December to March.
