Oldest Garden

Nestled in the forested hills of Komatsu, Natadera Temple is a serene Shingon Buddhist site founded in 717 by the monk Taichō. The temple is renowned for its harmonious integration with natural rock formations, including meditation caves carved into cliffs, reflecting the Hakusan faith's reverence for nature. Visitors can explore the main hall housing a 7.8-meter-tall statue of Kannon, the three-storied pagoda, and the temple's oldest garden in Ishikawa Prefecture, designated as a Place of Scenic Beauty.
