The Awazu Enbujo Theater, located in the Awazu Onsen area of Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture, is a beautifully renovated traditional theater that originally opened in 1933. This charming two-story wooden structure hosts a variety of performances, including theater, rakugo (traditional Japanese storytelling), music concerts, and film screenings. Visitors can admire the historic architecture and, if timed right, enjoy a live performance in an intimate setting with a stage, hanamichi (runway), and second-floor seating. Even if there isn't a scheduled event, the theater's exterior is worth a visit to appreciate its classic Japanese design.
