Tohoku's Premier Winery

Established in 1990 in Takahata Town, Yamagata Prefecture, Takahata Winery is the largest winery in the Tohoku region. The area is renowned for producing the largest shipment of Chardonnay and Delaware grapes in Japan, benefiting from a climate with significant temperature differences between day and night, ideal for grape cultivation. The winery offers a comprehensive experience: visitors can tour the vineyards and observe the winemaking process. The on-site shop provides a selection of limited-edition wines, local snacks, and souvenirs. A tasting corner allows guests to sample various wines, guided by certified sommeliers.
