Wonderland Museum

Wajima City in Ishikawa Prefecture was home to the Go Nagai Wonderland Museum, dedicated to the legendary manga artist Go Nagai, creator of Mazinger Z, Devilman, and Cutie Honey. Opened in 2009, the museum featured original artwork, a 1:9 scale Mazinger Z statue, and exhibits celebrating Nagai's influential career. Tragically, the museum was destroyed in a fire following the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake. While many exhibits were lost, some original works on loan from the studio were reported safe. The museum stood as a testament to Nagai's impact on manga and anime culture.
