Floral Garden

Yuushien Garden is a traditional Japanese stroll garden located on Daikon Island in Matsue, Shimane Prefecture. Renowned for its extensive collection of over 250 varieties of peonies, the garden offers year-round blooms, with a spectacular display of 30,000 peonies floating on the pond during the spring Peony Festival. Seasonal highlights include irises and hydrangeas in summer, vibrant foliage in autumn, and illuminated winter displays. The garden also features a tea house and shops offering local specialties like ginseng products. Accessible by a 50-minute bus ride from Matsue Station, Yuushien provides a serene escape into nature's beauty. Note: the island is not easily accessible by public transport from the Sakaiminato (Tottori) side.
