Mystical Depths
In Ueno Village, Gunma Prefecture, Fujido Cave stands as the Kanto region's largest limestone cave, stretching 2.2 kilometers. Explored over 400 years ago by Buddhist monks, the cave features formations with spiritual names like “500 Arhats” and “Yama’s Staff.” Modern LED lighting enhances its natural beauty, creating a mystical atmosphere. Adjacent to the cave, the Ueno Sky Bridge spans 225 meters across a gorge, suspended 90 meters above the ground. This pedestrian bridge offers panoramic views, especially vibrant during autumn foliage, and occasionally delights visitors with soap bubble displays .
