Breathtaking Waterfalls

Todoroki Kujuku Falls in Kaiyo, Tokushima, is a breathtaking series of waterfalls nestled in the mountains, with the main Todoroki Hontaki plunging 58 meters—making it the tallest in Shikoku and one of Japan’s Top 100 Waterfalls. The name "Kujuku" means "99," reflecting the numerous cascades along the 1.5 km forest trail, including Niju Falls, Yokomi Falls, and Nabewari Falls. The area is also home to Todoroki Shrine, where an autumn festival features a unique ritual of carrying a mikoshi into the waterfall basin. Accessible by bus from JR Awa-Kainan Station, it's a serene destination for nature lovers and spiritual seekers alike .
