Whispers of Nature
Homei Shijuhachi Falls, also known as "Phoenix Sing Big Fall," is a series of cascading waterfalls located upstream of the Hirose River in Sendai's Aoba Ward. The name derives from the sound of the water, which is said to resemble the call of a phoenix. Surrounded by lush forests, the falls offer a serene setting that changes with the seasons—vibrant green in spring and summer, and brilliant hues in autumn.
