Nebuta Festival

Goshogawara, located in western Aomori Prefecture, is renowned for its vibrant Tachineputa Festival, held annually from August 4 to 8. Towering 23-meter illuminated floats parade through the city, a spectacle celebrated year-round at the Tachineputa Museum. Literary enthusiasts can visit the Shayōkan, the preserved childhood home of author Osamu Dazai, showcasing early 20th-century architecture and personal artifacts.
