Tondabayashi Jinaimachi is a well-preserved temple town dating back to the 16th century, featuring a grid of narrow streets lined with Edo-period machiya townhouses. The Old Sugiyama House, a prominent merchant residence from the mid-Edo period, showcases traditional architecture and has been designated an Important Cultural Property. Nearby, the Osaka Prefectural Chikatsu Asuka Museum, designed by architect Tadao Ando, offers insights into Japan's ancient Kofun and Asuka periods through its unique architecture and exhibits.
