Located within the grounds of Koriyama Castle, the Koriyama Castle Keep Observation Facility offers panoramic views of Yamato Koriyama and beyond. This reconstructed stone platform, completed in 2017, allows visitors to overlook the city, including sights like Heijo Palace's Daigokuden, Yakushi-ji Temple, and Mount Wakakusa. The observation deck is easily accessible and provides a unique vantage point to appreciate the castle grounds and surrounding landscape. The best time to visit is during the day to fully enjoy the views, and especially during cherry blossom season for a spectacular sight. It's a great spot for a quick visit to soak in the history and scenery of the area. Open from 7 AM to 5 PM (October to March) or 7 AM to 7 PM (April to September).
