Located in Kitajonai Children's Park near Karatsu Castle, Toki no Taiko (Drum of Time) is a unique clock tower that recreates a historical time-telling drum from the Edo period. Every hour, from 7 AM to 7 PM, a mechanical doll emerges to beat the drum, marking the time. While the doll's drumming is a representation rather than actual percussion, the sound is surprisingly loud. Situated along the Ninomon-bori moat, it's a charming spot to visit while exploring the castle and surrounding area. The park itself offers playground equipment, making it a pleasant stop for families.
