Akadake Falls, located in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture, offers stunning views, especially during the vibrant green season and autumn foliage. Situated near Kurotaki Falls, Akadake can be viewed from afar at the Soryukyo Gorge along the Nishi-Azuma Sky Valley. The falls measure approximately 100 meters in height and 10 meters in width. Visitors can find a small parking area near the "Source of the Mogami River" marker, providing a convenient spot to admire the falls. Note that the parking area can be tight to maneuver when other cars are present. The falls are best viewed from a distance, offering a satisfying natural vista.
