Chiaki Mukai Memorial Children's Science Museum

Overview

The Chiaki Mukai Memorial Children's Science Museum in Tatebayashi, Gunma, celebrates the achievements of Chiaki Mukai, the first Asian woman to travel to space. The museum features exhibits about her journey and personal memorabilia. Visitors can experience a simulated lunar gravity environment with the Moon Walker. The museum is located a 20-minute walk from Tatebayashi Station on the Tobu Isesaki Line (or a short bus ride). Admission is ¥320 for adults; junior high school students and younger are free. The museum offers barrier-free access, including wheelchair-accessible restrooms and ramps.
