Nishihama Beach, located in Yuza, Yamagata Prefecture, is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Shonai region. Easily accessible by car (7 minutes, 2km) from Fukiura Station, this beach offers a wide sandy area stretching 500 meters along the coastline, with a width of 120 meters. The swimming season typically runs from mid-July to mid-August. Note that a nearby fishing port may affect water clarity, especially outside peak season. Sunset views are reportedly stunning on clear days. The beach also features barrier-free facilities, including wheelchair-accessible restrooms and ramps, and welcomes guide dogs.
