Kumano Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine, dedicated to Kumano Fusumi Okami (another name for Izanami-no-Mikoto), is part of the "Kumano Junisho Gongen." It features the Yatagarasu Stone and an 850-year-old camphor tree. Believed to grant benefits like good health, longevity, and wish fulfillment, it's the most architecturally significant Kumano Gongen-style shrine among the Kumano Sanzan. Located on Mt. Nachi, its vermilion buildings contrast beautifully with the surrounding green mountains, creating a sacred atmosphere. Accessible by bus from Kii-Katsuura Station, followed by a 10-minute walk from the Nachi-san bus stop.
