The Takada Castle Site Park Cherry Blossom Festival is held annually when approximately 4,000 cherry trees bloom around Takada Castle Site Park. The illuminated three-story castle tower and cherry blossoms reflected on the moat create a stunning scene, recognized as one of Japan's Three Great Night Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots. During the festival, around 300 food stalls line the park, offering a lively atmosphere. The park is a 15-minute walk from Takada Station on the Echigo Tokimeki Railway Myoko Haneuma Line. By car, it's a 10-minute drive from Joetsu IC or Joetsu-Takada IC on the Hokuriku and Joshin-Etsu Expressways, respectively. Admission to the park is free, making it an accessible and beautiful experience for all.
