Ida Beach in Numazu, Shizuoka, is known for its exceptionally clear waters, making it a prime spot for both swimming and scuba diving. This tranquil beach offers a relaxing atmosphere away from crowded tourist spots. The beach is accessible via an 85-minute drive from Numazu IC, following Routes 414 and 17. Open during the summer months from mid-July to mid-August, it features a 125-meter shoreline and a 30-meter wide sandy area. Parking is available for a fee (700 yen per day for 100 spaces). Note that the beach is rocky, so appropriate footwear is recommended. The nearby Kirameki-no-oka observation point offers stunning views of Ida and Mount Fuji, especially beautiful in February when the rapeseed blossoms.
