Zuikouji Temple, founded in the 14th century, once served as a Honjin (lodging) for high-ranking samurai and lords during the Edo period when Ureshino thrived as a post town on the Nagasaki Kaido. The temple is home to a revered Yakushi Nyorai statue, said to be crafted by Unkei. Visitors can explore the serene grounds and admire the ancient camphor tree designated as a natural monument. Located a short walk from the Yukan-mae bus stop, it's easily accessible from Takeo Onsen and Ureshino Onsen stations. The peaceful atmosphere makes it an ideal spot for a quiet visit any time of day.
