Overview

The Asaseishigawa Dam Museum offers panoramic views of the dam's structure and the surrounding natural landscape. Located in Kuroishi, Aomori Prefecture, the museum provides an educational experience about the dam's role through videos and models. Visitors can learn about the dam's construction, which began in 1979 and was completed in 1988. The museum also features exhibits on local flora and fauna. Open from April to November, it's an ideal spot to visit during the warmer months. The museum is equipped with barrier-free facilities, including wheelchair-accessible restrooms and ramps, and welcomes guide dogs. Note that the museum is closed on weekends and holidays from December to March.
