The Former Ubukata Family Residence, a nationally designated Important Cultural Property, is one of the oldest merchant houses in eastern Japan, dating back to the late 17th century. Located within Numata Park, a short walk from Numata Station, this historical building offers a glimpse into the life of a wealthy merchant family during the Edo period. Visitors can explore the well-preserved interior, featuring unique architectural details and exhibits. The residence is open to the public for a small admission fee (¥110 for adults, free for junior high students and younger, and free for disabled individuals and one accompanying person).
