Daiozaki Lighthouse, built in 1927, stands on the rugged cliffs at the tip of the Shima Peninsula, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. As one of the few lighthouses in Japan open to the public, visitors can climb to the top for a breathtaking vista. The lighthouse is a popular subject for artists, drawn to the dramatic coastal scenery. Located in Daiozaki, known as a town of artists, it's accessible by bus from Ugata Station, followed by a short walk. Open daily with varying hours depending on the season, admission is ¥150 for adults and ¥20 for children.
