Tenshaen Garden, located a 20-minute walk from Uwajima Station, is a serene garden created in 1866 by Date Munenari, the 7th lord of the Uwajima domain, as his retirement residence. The garden features diverse bamboo groves inspired by the Date family crest and wisteria trellises representing their Fujiwara lineage. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll around the pond and admire the seasonal flora. Admission is ¥500 for adults, with discounts for students. The best time to visit is during the spring when the wisteria are in full bloom.
