Overview

Hate-no-Hama Sandbar, often called the most beautiful in the East, is located off the coast of Kume Island. This stunning, elongated sandbar stretches 7 to 11 km and features pure white sand and vibrant cobalt blue waters. It's comprised of three main areas: Mae-no-Hama, Naka-no-Hama, and Hate-no-Hama. Access is by ferry from Kume Island, a journey of about 20 minutes. Enjoy swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on this pristine, uninhabited island. Be sure to bring sun protection, as shade is limited. Note that the shape of the sandbar can change due to typhoons.
