Konan Sanzan refers to the three temples of Joraku-ji, Choju-ji, and Zensui-ji, located in Konan City, Shiga Prefecture. Known for their stunning autumn foliage, these temples offer a less crowded alternative to the more famous Koto Sanzan. Each temple boasts a nationally designated main hall, providing visitors with a rich cultural experience. The best time to visit is during the fall foliage season, typically from mid-November to early December. Access is easiest by car, with free parking available at each temple, or via the JR Kusatsu Line to Ishibe Station, followed by the Megurukun community bus.
