The Nagatoro Cherry Trees, also known as Nagatoro Sakura Namiki, is a stunning cherry blossom avenue located in Nagatoro, Saitama Prefecture. Selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots, this area features approximately 600 Somei Yoshino cherry trees that create a breathtaking tunnel of blossoms during peak season, typically in early April. The best views can be found along the Kita-Sakura-dori (North Cherry Street), which stretches about 2 kilometers from Nagatoro Station towards the Arakawa River. Visitors can enjoy walking or driving through the tunnel. Light-up events are held in the evening until mid-April, offering a different atmosphere from the daytime. It's easily accessible from Nagatoro Station, making it a must-visit destination during the cherry blossom season.
