Located in Ichinokura, known for its sakazuki (sake cup) production, the Ichinokura Sakazuki Museum showcases delicate cups produced from the late Edo to early Showa periods, comparing them with those from other regions. The museum features approximately 1,500 pieces, including works by local Living National Treasures and master ceramic artists like Toyozo Arakawa and Kato Tokuro. The museum shop offers pieces from 100 artists working in ceramics, woodwork, and metalwork. Visitors can also enjoy the on-site restaurant, MOON, known for its thin-crust pizza, and the Kobei Kiln Pottery Workshop, where you can experience pottery making. It's easily accessible via the Totetsu Bus from Tajimi Station, a 3-minute walk from the "Ichinokura" bus stop. The best time to visit is during the afternoon to fully enjoy the museum and its surroundings.
