Explore Shibata Castle Site Park, home to the nationally designated Important Cultural Properties of the Omote-mon Gate and the former Ninomaru Sumi Yagura turret. See the reconstructed three-story turret (Sankai Yagura) with its unique T-shaped roof and three shachihoko ornaments. While the interior of the Sankai Yagura is inaccessible due to its location on the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force base, its distinctive exterior is a must-see. Visitors can enjoy the castle's charm at the accessible Honmaru Omote-mon Gate, the former Ninomaru Sumi Yagura turret, and the Tatsumi Yagura turret. The park is a popular spot for cherry blossoms in spring, irises in early summer, autumn foliage, and winter snowscapes. Located a 20-minute walk from Shibata Station, or 15 minutes by car from the Seiro Shibata IC.
