Daisetsuzan Kurodake Ski Area is one of Japan's premier mountain ski resorts, known for being the first to open and the last to close each season. Located on the 5th to 7th stations of Mount Kurodake, it offers exceptional powder snow due to heavy snowfall and cold temperatures. The area features one pair lift and a ropeway, with a day pass costing ¥4200 for both. The slopes cater to all skill levels, with 50% beginner, 30% intermediate, and 20% advanced courses. Visitors can enjoy stunning views from the lifts and slopes. Access is via a 30-minute bus ride from JR Kamikawa Station or a 90-minute drive from Asahikawa Airport. Parking is available for 60 cars free of charge.
