The Yabakei Bridge, also known as the Holland Bridge, is a stunning stone arch bridge spanning the Yamakuni River. As one of Japan's top 100 bridges, it boasts the longest bridge length in Japan at 116 meters, featuring a unique eight-arch design. Designated as a tangible cultural property of Oita Prefecture, its nickname "Holland Bridge" comes from its Nagasaki-style stone construction. Still in use today, the bridge is adorned with adorable frog statues symbolizing welcome, prosperity, and safe return. Located about 20 minutes by car from Nakatsu IC and 40 minutes from Hita IC, it's a must-see landmark.
