The Okhotsk Tokkari Center is a unique facility dedicated to the conservation and care of seals, primarily the spotted seal. Located in Monbetsu, Hokkaido, it's easily accessible by car from both the city center and Okhotsk Monbetsu Airport. Visitors can observe the seals up close during feeding times and, if lucky, may see newborn pups in the spring. The center offers a rare opportunity to learn about these marine mammals and support their care through a small admission fee, which contributes to their food and medical needs. It's a small facility but offers a very close look at the seals, and is located near the Garinko icebreaker ship.
