The Saito Minoru Memorial Museum, located a 15-minute walk from Mizusawa Station in Oshu City, Iwate Prefecture, commemorates the life and achievements of Saito Minoru, a naval admiral and former Prime Minister. Adjacent to his birthplace, which can also be toured, the museum displays personal belongings and artifacts, including a mirror damaged during the February 26th Incident. The museum offers a glimpse into his career and the historical events surrounding him. Open from 9:00 to 16:30, and closed on Mondays (or the following day if Monday is a holiday) and from December 29th to January 3rd, admission is ¥200 for adults (discounts available for groups of 15 or more; free for high school students and younger). Wheelchair accessible.
