Visit the Iruhatake Dam Observation Plaza for panoramic views of the dam and the Kitakami Plain. On a clear day, you can spot Mt. Komagatake to the southwest. The emerald green waters are especially stunning during the spring. The plaza is accessible by car, with parking available near the dam. A short walk across the dam leads to the observation area. The best time to visit is during the fall foliage season for vibrant colors or in the spring to see the emerald green lake. Note that the path to the higher observation point may be overgrown.
