Kashinozaki Lighthouse, located on the eastern edge of Oshima Island, is one of Japan's oldest stone lighthouses, first lit in 1870. Designed by Richard Henry Brunton, known as the "father of Japanese lighthouses," it offers panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. While the interior is closed to the public, the observation deck is open and free to access. The lighthouse is a short walk from the Turkish Memorial Hall and is surrounded by scenic walking paths. Visitors can also explore the nearby former lighthouse keeper's residence, a brick building open to the public for a small fee. The area is particularly beautiful in winter when daffodils bloom around the lighthouse.
