Matsugaoka Park, located a 20-minute walk from Iwaki Station, is a historic park known for its beautiful cherry blossoms, especially during the annual Sakura Festival in April. The park features a statue of Ando Tsushima-no-kami, a key figure in late Edo period diplomacy, and the former residence of the scholar Amada Goun. Originally established in the Meiji era, the park also boasts a stunning azalea garden, transplanted from the Ando family's former Tokyo residence. Visitors can enjoy a peaceful stroll through the park's lush greenery and explore its historical landmarks. Parking is available.
