Mizumiya Shrine, officially known as Makasan Hannya-in Mizumiya Shrine, has a unique history as a Shugen temple founded in the Muromachi period. What sets this shrine apart are the numerous frog statues throughout the grounds, replacing the traditional guardian dogs with 'Koma-gaeru' (guardian frogs). Visitors can enjoy searching for various frog figures and even find a photo panel for memorable snapshots. Located in Fujimi City, Saitama Prefecture, it's easily accessible from Mizuhodai Station. The shrine also offers two types of Goshuin (shrine stamps), including one from the neighboring Shikishima Shrine. It's a quiet place where you can enjoy a peaceful visit.
