Seitaizan Nenzen-ji Temple (Temple Number 8), also known as Saizen-ji, is a serene temple of the Rinzai Zen sect, located in Yokose, Chichibu. Founded in 1234, it's the eighth temple on the Chichibu Pilgrimage. A unique feature is its mountain gate that leads to a descending stone staircase. The temple is famous for its approximately 600-year-old Komine Maple tree, a symbol of the temple, offering stunning autumn foliage. Visitors can also admire the Amida Triad, believed to prevent dementia and promote longevity, along with the Eleven-Faced Kannon. The temple also features a garden, Jizo statues, and a 'stroking Buddha'.
