Shirabu Great Falls is located near Shirabu Onsen in Yonezawa, Yamagata Prefecture. Accessible by a 50-minute bus ride from JR Yonezawa Station followed by a short walk, the falls offer a stunning natural view. Be prepared for a steep, potentially slippery path down to the falls, which may be challenging for those with mobility issues or young children. The falls are particularly impressive with increased water flow from snowmelt. While the path to the base has been improved, it can still be tiring. Note that the area at the top of the falls has some concrete, which slightly detracts from the natural scenery.
