Located within the Hoshikuso Pass Obsidian Mine Historical Park, the Hoshikuso-kan Obsidian Mine Exhibition Room offers a rare glimpse into a Jomon period obsidian mine. Visitors can explore the underground mine as it existed in ancient times. Note that admission requires registration at the nearby Obsidian Experience Museum. The path to the exhibition room, though challenging with steep stairs, provides a unique opportunity to walk the same route as the Jomon people. Open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (last entry at 3:00 PM), closed on Mondays and during winter.
