Visit the Kitakanegasawa Ginkgo Tree, also known as "Big Yellow," a designated natural monument and one of Japan's largest ginkgo trees. Estimated to be over 1,000 years old, this towering tree stands 31 meters tall with a trunk circumference of 22 meters. Located a 7-minute walk from JR Gono Line's Kitakanegasawa Station, it's easily accessible. The tree is especially beautiful in late November when its leaves turn golden, and it's illuminated at night. Known locally as "Tachinegigo" (Drooping Breasts Ginkgo), it has been worshipped as a sacred tree for centuries. A dedicated parking area and restrooms are available for visitors.
