Mount Sanbonyari, one of the 100 Famous Mountains of Fukushima, offers stunning 360-degree panoramic views from its summit, marking the border between Nishigo Village, Tochigi Prefecture, and the Aizu region. Accessible via the Nasu-Kashi Traverse Route, the approximately 6-hour hike from Kashi Onsen rewards visitors with diverse alpine scenery. The peak is adorned with lush Sasa bamboo grass, a simple marker, and an explanatory sign. While less crowded than nearby Mount Chausu, the summit can be foggy, so clear weather is ideal for enjoying the views. Late September offers beautiful autumn foliage, though narrow trails may lead to congestion.
