Yunogo Onsen, also known as "Heron's Bath," is a renowned hot spring with a history stretching back approximately 1,200 years. Legend says it was discovered by the priest Ennin when he saw a white heron healing its injured leg in the waters. The clear, colorless waters are popular among women for their skin-beautifying properties. Visitors can enjoy the free foot bath, "Fureai no Yu," or the Yuno-go Sagi Onsen-kan, a day-trip hot spring facility. In early summer, fireflies dance along the banks of the Otanigawa River, creating a magical atmosphere. Located in Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture, Yunogo Onsen is easily accessible by car from the Mimasaka IC on the Chugoku Expressway or by bus from JR Hayashino Station. A shuttle bus service is available from JR Okayama Station West Exit.
