The "Uno no Chinu" is a vibrant and eye-catching art installation located near Uno Port in Tamano, Okayama. Created by the art unit Yodogawa Technique, these colorful sculptures of black sea bream (chinu) are made entirely from recycled materials and debris found along the coast. One of the sculptures even doubles as a slide, making it a fun attraction for children. Situated near the ferry terminal for Naoshima, famous for its yellow pumpkin sculpture by Yayoi Kusama, the "Uno no Chinu" offers a unique photo opportunity and a thought-provoking commentary on environmental issues. It's easily accessible from JR Uno Station and a must-see landmark when visiting the area. The best time to visit is during the day to fully appreciate the colors and details of the artwork.
