The Inamura-no-Hi Museum in Hirogawa, Wakayama Prefecture, commemorates Hamaguchi Goryo's heroic act of setting fire to rice sheaves to warn villagers of an impending tsunami in 1854. The museum consists of the Hamaguchi Goryo Memorial Hall (free admission) and the Tsunami Disaster Prevention Education Center (admission fee applies). The latter features exhibits, a 3D tsunami theater, and interactive displays focused on tsunami preparedness and disaster mitigation. It's an educational experience for those living in or visiting tsunami-prone areas. Allow at least 1.5 hours to fully experience the museum, including the 3D theater.
