Nyoirin-ji Temple, also known as Nyoirin Temple, is located in Yoshino, Nara Prefecture. Founded in the Engi era (901-922), it became the imperial temple of Emperor Go-Daigo in 1336. The temple is known for its connection to Emperor Go-Daigo and the loyalist Masatsura Kusunoki, whose farewell poem is preserved here. Visitors can explore the serene grounds, the mausoleum of Emperor Go-Daigo, and the treasure hall featuring a statue of Zaō Gongen. The temple offers beautiful views, especially during the cherry blossom season. Access is via the Yoshino Ropeway (check operating schedule) and a 40-minute walk, or by bus to Nyoirin-ji Temple entrance.
