Maruha Gongitsune no Yu is a Japanese-style hot spring facility conveniently located near the Handa Chuo Interchange on the Chita Peninsula Road. Named after the famous fairy tale writer Niimi Nankichi, this onsen features a traditional building with the fragrant scent of cypress and an elegant open-air bath reminiscent of a Japanese garden. The sodium chloride strong spring water is known for its skin-smoothing properties. Visitors can enjoy indoor baths and unique outdoor baths like the cave bath and waterfall bath. Note that the outdoor baths are dimly lit, so caution is advised. The facility is popular with locals and can get crowded, especially on weekends.
